What is it you need to see to trade the other way (short in this case) ? SELLERS. What proves that there are sellers ? Rejection of a price level and a strong move away from it. If you think you don't see it, take a step back and relax; do nothing. Have patience and learn to wait until you see a new direction come into existence. Don't rush it, there is always a next opportunity. Keep at it, old chap.

This should be part of your pre-trade plan. Your exit depends on your objectives: is it supposed to be an intraday trade, or swing trade for example. I listed a few options in the screenshot below based on intraday. There are many more options.
