So I closed my Long from yesturday after Price closed over the White line. Last momo Up according to what I see.
Probably should have take profits before. Bulls were getting weaker and we have huge down momo to the left.
When to close and when to hold. I need to figure out.

After the close I shorted. Long Momo overcomed by short momo, wicks in direction of loss so I shorted.

Now we have the same dilema, do I close to I HODL.

There is always a better way in hindsight.

Consistency matters.

On the matter of HODL: HOPE starts with HO as well. And bungee jump rubbers do snap

Have to keep an open, unbiased mind in order to see what's going on. That takes time.
All I can say is don't rush into trades before you have a clear idea. And it won't always work out.
Remember for a trade you want to see a strong move away and then a pullback that fails to develop into a reversal. Where did you see a strong move to the upside ?

Have to keep an open, unbiased mind in order to see what's going on. That takes time.
All I can say is don't rush into trades before you have a clear idea. And it won't always work out.
Remember for a trade you want to see a strong move away and then a pullback that fails to develop into a reversal. Where did you see a strong move to the upside ?

Exactly - nowhere. If anything, there was momo from the HOTD and price failed to close above 50% (off of 3 H1 candles = 1 H3 candle from the high). The overlays make it easier for me to have several time frames on one chart. I like to combine whatever makes sense to me optically. Momo indicates either a lack of buyers or sellers at the origin. It is a sudden move which is larger than "average" at that time. There is no specific time frame attached to it - price is the same on every time frame, hence the reason to keep an eye on several time frames. Look for momo at suspect places. Find suspect places first (afaic).

You can play with the idea - if you glue several momo candles together you get something you would see back as momo on a higher time frame.
