I love olive oil. I use it ALL THE TIME.

I have this spray bottle that I put it in with a pump and can spray it on various things.

Olive oil from Turkey/Italy is the best!

That's why I had never tried it before, but I could be wrong...

Plus they would not survive the winter, you would have to have like a heated greenhouse to pull it off...

Growing food is way more easier in the south, can grow so much more varieties and nearly all year long.

Better to try and fail than to have never tried at all

I've seen people get away with frost wrapping their trees and laying heavy mulch to protect the roots.

Anything is possible if your mind is focused on a solution.

I'm very busy so I don't have the time to produce my own vegetables but I've been planting fruit for the last year or so. It'll be another few years before I really start to get a harvest from them but at the time period I've got

Starfruit
Lemon
Kaffir Lime
Guava
Soursop
Navel Orange
Blood Orange
Mango
Papaya!
Jack fruit
Bananas
and Coconut Palms

I've been toying with some sugar cane, I can't say for certain if that will pan out how I'd like.

as well as a few flowering plants and some assorted cacti of a rare and collectible nature

My family's land sits on 2.5 acres that I've been steadily trying to turn into my own subsistence farm

Looks good Karma,

I'm just a little too far north to be able to grow most of those things.

Olive Oil Mister

MO -----^

You want the kind that you pour in the olive oil and pump it up, so it sprays out, versus squirts like a normal spray bottle

"Better to try and fail than to have never tried at all"

Yah, at least I caught myself thinking that maybe there is a way.

But seriously, I think it is gonna be a challenge but if you find a way that doesn't involve heating or bringing it inside, lemme know :)

Maybe someone wants to start producing maple syrup and we can come to some sort of arrangement. :D
