Welcome to Kreslik.

I am not at home but I think this counter is a part of TRO's donational indicators. You can read the thread by that name. Do a search, I am sure there as several posts with that on charts. --Patch

didnt post last week but as busy as I was it was another good week, 4 weeks above 4%/day last week was one of the stellar weeks and that was least positions entered ever.

For the first trade early in tokyo made 20+ pips already.

straight forward waited for 1h 3 checked 5m for slow down double top made me enter a larger lot exit was at 1.6385 area.

done for tokyo will be back for the UK open gona go bullish on this one as we are running on a 3rd straight bullish candle

Did someone say Breakout?

Postby forrestang » Mon Sep 07, 2009 6:12 am

In going through this thread, and "Anotomy of DTB," it seems these are all CT(CounterTrend) type trades?

Per the rules:
1)wait for a 1,2,3 H1 semafor on the current or previous bar.....if so then the pair is setting up.

2)switch to a M15, and wait for the trigger.
a) There seem to be subtleties, such as no trading when it says'DO NOT REVERSE'
b)Or when it says 'WAIT'
c)Or maybe tradin w/the H1 bias

But aside from all that, looking to trade the breakout first was mentioned. Does this mean looking for the continuation/with trend type setup?

The picture below isn't the best example as it really wasn't moving today. But would one be looking for trades towards the long side, or continually attempting to get into a CT type trade, like the short trigger at the 1.4331 short trigger in that pic?

Of all the extra other things on the chart, like the biases, the 'DO NOT REVERSE' etc, is there a checklist to go through beyond seeing the semafor and the entry trigger before getting in?

Notice the short trigger. Is that the correct entry?

well got my pick up at 1.6370

of course only went in when i got the 1 on my 1h

got my 20+pips here

Forrestang as you can see I have barely anything left on my dtb chart removed the volume and replaced it with my stoch.

the "do not reverse" is there to keep you weary of your entries but,
my entries usually go this way, I see that the 5m is not breaking and then the 15m also ceases to break last high that is always a good entry but make sure u are not too far away from trigger as your pips gets smaller.

DTB chart is overwhelming in the beginning but once you weed out what can be useful to you and what can be distracting it can be very effective with your position entries.

You have to understand TRO wanted to create an indicator that would tell you as much in one go without leaving to much to guesse that is how effective DTB is but that is just me tooting my own horn!! its aloud one hehehe!

People kept asking questions so I built the answers into the indicator. You can turn off the legends, inputs, alerts, etc... via inputs.
