EFX Group - which datasource is best?

Postby alichambers » Mon May 28, 2007 1:10 pm

I'm signing up to EFX Group and will need a good datasource for use in my charting software (I use Amibroker).

There are various options, but I will need:

1. 1min data on major FX pairs
2. The ability to download 1min data - as much as 1 year back, for testing
3. A datasource that correlates as closely as possible with EFX Group

There are various options:

-eSignal
- IQFeed

But I'd like to throw this open to the group.

use quotetracker to link efx data to amibroker for live
trading,
just need historical data to import into amibroker to fill the gaps when you are not logged into EFX via quotetracker
Alpari UK data correlates pretty well
cheers ken

I would reccomend esignal in this case, they provide realtime data and historic minute and tick data for the EFX-feed (TDFX is the esignal exchange code for mb/efx ecn).

Actually, TDFX is a separate Canadian company that is providing an ECN market access to EFX as well as to others.

What do you mean by the quotes being the same? The quotes are very much different across various brokers / ECNs.

http://forum.esignalcentral.com/showthr ... adid=22027
http://www.3dforex.com/default.html

This is 100% MBT/EFX data, available on esignal (TDFX contributor) and also on Tenfore (on Tenfore its actually called EFX).

P.S. you can get an esignal demo in 5 min, its tick for tick the same data
