Need help on finding a suitable brokerage

Postby morbidbubba » Mon Aug 24, 2009 9:51 pm

Hi,

Ive got an EA that needs a brokerage with the lowest possible spreads and no slippage.

Im considering ACM for their no slippage policy, but their spreads are just too high. I looked at Dukascopy, their spreads are low but they have very bad slippage. I was considering OANDA but I have to pay for their API access, and Im a small trader and I really do not have that much money. I came across this brokerage called ECNtradefx.com, they offer very low spreads and guaranteed fills, but they do not have any affiliations to any governing body, or at least I cannot seem to find any on their website. Moreover, I know its wrong to judge a book by its cover but their website makes them look like a scam. Lastly, I came across a brokerage called Baron Forex and they offer me fixed spreads, no matter what market condition or news event, 2 pips on EURUSD and guaranteed fills on my orders.

Any recomendations????

Thanks for your help.

Bubba

Have you considered ATC Forex ?

Or MB Trading ? They might have their MT4 running now, you'll have to ask them.

Hi,
MB does not guarantee no slippage and ATC is an ECN, like Dukas, so I don't think they offer a no slippage policy.

Well I suppose if you want to rule out slippage you'll have to pay for it another way (i.e. spreads) because of the extra risk on the sell side.

Using the proper order type should help as well.

When searching for the right forex broker, figure out what kind of trader you are first. The faster you understand yourself, the easier it will be to find the best suitable broker.Choosing a broker depends on your trading preferences and expectations, available investment capital and overall knowledge of forex.

No. Are you another spammer?

I recommend anyone to do thorough research on any broker they are considering, that link of yours is shite :P. I personally wouldn't use any of 'em.

Look at all the trouble Alpari has gotten into. Lots of people waiting for the monies...

Warned.

Peace.
