How much you lifting there?
What you could do is put a screen on the roof while you are doing the bench sets, exercise and trading education at the same time.Im sure Dave will be impressed
People have treadmill set up in front of a TV, same thing.

I'm thinking about getting a foldable weight bench in my small area where I work and my have my PC for trading so I can start doing a bench routine next year. Been a few years since I owned a weight bench but should be fun.
I think next year will be all about routine now that I am more settled where I spend my time during the day.
Routine will be work/ trading execution, trading education, exercise and being present for the family.
My wife got a thermomix machine , an all in one cooking thingy so all of a sudden all these nice salads are coming out to the dinner table which will be good for lunch the next day. So yeah, focus on eating better too.
2023 should have some good goals all round I feel.

Not really,
Since retiring I've had to eat 50% of the normal amount or belly starts to smooth out.
Gotta keep those abs dude!!. LOL

6 pack all day baby.
NOT BEER EITHER. hehehehe

The battle to keep the food baby away. I hear ya. I have a desk job working from home since covid and that friggin kitchen is 3m away..Before then I would bike to work and kept the weight off. My exercise now is opening the fridge door LOL.
So Pro what did you do before retiring then, a physical/ outside job to keep you fit?
Was it then trading in the evening?

Went to trade school to be an A/C tech right out of H.S.
Did that for 5 yrs.
Then had a Telemarketing co. for a year.
Then opened a used car dealership for a couple years.
Then worked in a Box plant (corrugated boxes) for 25yrs, mostly as a Maint man.

Worked out very regularly and thought when I retired I'd be working out twice a day which is what I did most times that I was on vacations.
Bahahahahahah,
Yeah, right. first 2 yrs was spent traveling in the 69 model camper I restored.
Finally we have chilled on so many vacations. Sheesh.
Workouts? Almost non-existent.
Just like you, walked by fridge a hundred times a day and spoiled the little rug rat (last of 6 and the youngest) with ice cream and candle. Guess who has been "testing" it for her. LOL

Most recent six months I've gotten into a better groove of less food and LESS junk. Workouts are randomly coming back around.
Struggle is real specially when the last few months been sitting in front of PC obsessively.

Remodeling this current rent house with my Dad has been good exercise for both of us.
And fun.

Wow, you have done a few things. I have to ask, what was your car dealership called? :) They always have some cheesy name :)
Once you settle down into a place, have a routine then the exercise will come back I reckon. I'm sure your trading has a routine, or does it? :) I suspect from your posts that your routine is similar to when someone checks their wrist watch for the time every 30 mins, you check the charts every 30 mins for movement.

I'm getting our old house ready to be sold, so lots of gardening work and repairs to do which is helping me burn some calories off and feels good to do some real work for a change.

Grabbed another +10 and I am good for the day.
So maybe, just maybe, 2000 points in a month is good for the US30 for how I trade it. Combination of scalp and micro-swing trades.

Using the $67 a point from my earlier post just because... that would be about $1.6 million a year.

Or 14 futures contracts on the YM.
Hmmmm

I am wondering why I need to compete and make things more complicated. [-X

If I still scalp/swing US30 with an expectation of 1000 points a month life would be easier. Let me assume that I am doing this with a rich uncle. Ill really want about 1200 points to net my 1000. A little more than 1000 and a lot less than 2000.

Now how much do I want to make each month?
Risk $5 a point and make $5000 a month
Risk $10 a point and make $10,000 a month
Etc.
This can also be done on the futures YM up to about $50 a point last I checked. Fills might get a little worse. Although $50,000 a month isnt bad.

Why not go with ES fut? People are scalping the hell out of it.

Tick tok, $1,000. Six tok, $6,000.

This is true I was only making a comparison.

ES does have some nice potential.
