Ok,
If these are my server(market watch) and local(central time zone) settings
NY 15:00 = 7:00
AU 23:00 = 15:00
TY 01:00 = 17:00
LD 10:00 = 02:00

Then these will be my myHHMM 1,2,3 and 4 settings?
02:00 London
17:00 Tokyo
15:00 Sydney
07:00 New York

I have a Google sidebar which has the Forex opening and closing times displayed graphically. It take the time from my computer and display the time accordingly.

Hope this help someone. It is a great tool!

Help please

Postby chuck » Mon Feb 09, 2009 2:27 am

I've been using Intellicharts for the past 2 yrs and I could always adjust the time of when my day starts/ends and this MT4 stuff is confusing me as far as what time(s) to enter into the indicator input parameters.

Please bear with me as I just want to make sure I understand this.

NY open = 8AM EST
AU open = 5PM EST
TK open = 7PM EST
LD open = 3AM EST

I understand that my local time means nothing, but I'm going to state it anyway.

At my local time 08:00 EST, NY also opens at this time which is 15:00 for my data feed server. An 07:00 hour difference.

And so for my setup:

AU open = 00:00 server time
TY open = 02:00 server time
LD open = 10:00 server time
NY open = 15:00 server time

Easy enough.

As examples of what I need to know to adjust my settings correctly:

For the dibs indicators, there are the following input variables for time:

"myHHMM" What time is this referrering to?

"noteTimeNY". By default, the XX:00 server time = XX:00 mst. Can I change the mst to est or do I need to convert my own est time to mst?

"myHHMM1". I assume this is the server time associated with "mymessage1" opening time.

Sorry if these seem like stupid questions, but if I'm going to trade using these indicators then obviously I need to have them setup correctly.

BTW, thanks for all the time & effort you've spent on these TRO. I think we all appreciate it more than you know.

Cheers.

Chuck

myHHMM is the input that you change.

The others are NOTES - they have no effect. I put them there to remind me.

So myHHMM is simply the London open time for my server and the rest of the open times are automatically set?

Damn bro, at least you made it simple to set.

I printed out some material on coding for MT4 so I don't have to keep bothering you

Thanks.

Yes... myHHMM is simply the time for your server that you want to use for your OPEN time.

You must load all four times based on your server time and the indicator will let you know which session is the most recent.

Sorry, TRO. I'm not sure I understand. If I set the "myHHMM1" to my server time of London open, then all the other sessions will automatically work? That's the ONLY setting that needs to be done?

What do you mean by "you must load all four times based on your server time and the indicator will let you know which session is the most recent?" Were would I load each of these settings?

You have to input all 4 HHMM inputs for you server time.

They are set for my server time. You have to change them for yours.

14:00 my server time is the NY open.

After you set all 4 times correctly, if you set the CHANGE.SESSIONS input to TRUE, the indicator will use the most recent session open for all daily calculations.

OK. I see what the confusion is.

I'm looking at the TRO2009_Multi_Meter_DIBS and the TRO2009_DIBS_TRADE indicators. On these 2 indicators, there is only one place ("myHHMM1" or "myHHMM") to enter a setting for a time, *unlike* the TRO2009_MPMM_DIBS_ TRADE indicator where there are places to enter server time settings for each session.

So, how do I set the TRO2009_Multi_Meter_DIBS and the TRO2009_DIBS_TRADE indicators?
