EFX Demo Platform

Postby stevenvdv2 » Mon May 12, 2008 11:59 am

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if the poor execution performance is also noticeable on the live EFX platform
I am currently testing a few strategies and have not yet enabled my live account.
The Demo platform is becoming unusable for scalp like trading.

Any feedback welcome,

Steven

EFX Demo Platform

Postby RicG » Mon May 12, 2008 10:44 pm

Hi Steven,

Their demo platform is very unstable. The hot keys only work part of the time and the platform gets you into trades that you don't even enter.
That's why I decided not to open an account with them

Customer service tells me that these types of issues only occur with the demo, but it seems to me that if you are trying to sell something you make the demo just as good as the real thing and it seems like it shouldn't be that difficult to do so.

It would be like test driving a new car that rattled, handled poorly, the AC didn't work........and the salesman tells you..........oh, those problems only occur with the demo. Just give us your money and we'll give you the REAL car. :)

I know some of the board members here like EFX Group, but I just don't feel like risking my money with them at this time.

Peace and good trading to all,
Ric

Why don't they just offer an established platform with a huge following like MT4?? Am I missing something? Who wants to deal with the growing pains of a "proprietary" platform? I like the cost effectiveness of their fee structure, among other positives, but the platform is the deal breaker.

I have been using the Navigator for years.

No trading platform that I know of is perfect. They all have pros/cons.

Most people do NOT take the time to learn how to use the platform.

They are too lazy. They give up too quickly.

Navigator, at this time, doesn't support indicators.
