The price action of every chart and periods is patterns and breakouts.

If you must guess where price is going then guess that it will go nowhere and take what profit you can: aim for a minimum target, the close of a large bar, or a breakout that you couldn't see yourself trading.

The 'trends' of small charts are the expansions of larger bar ranges, so what you should be thinking is 'will this bar expand and in which direction?'

You may be wondering when you should "take what you can" vs "drain the banks".
The answer is simple, you can't "drain the banks" without size

A 'zone' is simply a trigger-line and a stop loss that is so many 'lines' away from the trigger.

Thank you Doji and Thank you MO!

Replying to Doji:

Your posts are helping! Basically we are looking for a setup in a setup. I was looking for half of a setup in a setup.
I looked at INFINITE zones and all the times I saw that price likes to break and bounce above or below creating a sort of Z with a vacuum (the zone) in the middle.
So, looking for a zone inside the zone makes sense to me!
I'm gonna try to make some study on it! Thank you much :D

Replying to MO:

Magic post! You are perfectly right: I'm not taking profits when is time to take profits and I hate myself for this
I absolutely need to work on it because if it's true that every line could be a trigger, and it's true, then I don't know when/where price will turn.. I can suspect it but nothing more.

(Doji has a target of 20 pips and knowing this i know how he can see a very high % of success with his trades, I haven't a target and this helps me to fail)

Thank you very much!

Any line can be a trigger but not every line is an acceptable trigger.

If I am going to trade away from a price level then what is near vs far away is measured in lines and lines are based on the movement of the pair and the period that is being traded; where I want to place my stop loss also limits the number of lines that I can use as triggers.

I said nothing about predicting the future and everything about trading what you see:
Patterns, breakouts, and the range of large bars expanding hundreds of pips.

It doesn't matter to me what you do, I just want you to find what works for you.

Most people do not like my trading style & I am ok with that

I missed this incredible short
There was enough time to accumulate a real fat position too.

BTW I took this short and I closed at the red line.. not a big profit because I used a small size in a single trade.

But what I want to say is that I saw some light, again :D
I just remembered that supply becomes demand (and viceversa) creating a "Z" aka swap level.
I placed a fibo on some classic momo (2x bar) staring on closes over tops/bottoms (on a lower tf) around the 0-50% level: PERFECT.

.. and when price bounces just a little and then breaks in direction of loss I have a new swap level, now I can reverse the losing trade.

Then I placed some Doji's Zone above them and they match most of the times.

N.B.
I'm not saying that I'd buy when price closes over a top or a bottom.. that pivots look like a series of small candles with no momentum on a bigger timeframe (a pattern) and A LINE which price cannot leave beyond for a while, until a breakout happens, on a smaller timeframe.

If you took profit from a long and a short trade then it would be an easy double down short at the 50%.
