A jar of four marbles (OHLC) is not the same as a jar of 1000 marbles (OHLC); it can do the same 'kind of things', as it is plotted in the same way as everything it will be compared to, but it is not 'the same thing':

there is obviously less meaning in a few ticks than is in a thousand ticks;

just because two things look the same, that doesn't mean that they are the same.

Do you think the mind cannot adapt to OHLC?
Reversals show up the same way with OHLC, OHL, OLC or 2 MA's. LOL

This right here is why so many people want to throw their pen at the ice cream trader:
- it is either the case that you have one coherent model that is right for beginners (no "advanced" trader is subscribing, I assure you)
or you have a "blunderbuss" of trading models, and students trying to create a strategy from the fragments which were imbedded in the trading dummy (the people listening to that nonsense).

Yeah, I own a Texas Instruments calculator too. . .
now explain to the poor taxi driver how he is going to get those pips without losing his life savings. . .

watch videos and "develop the skillz"? I don't think so, pal! we are talking 10+ years of live struggling on an intraday chart, with progress being made around every 2 years.

Daily charts are easier to trade, that's just the reality; 12 year old Susy and 'old man Stan' can probably achieve the same level of success. . .it doesn't require a lot of brain power.

You want to be out in 3 min, 3 days, 3 years?
You want to amass 3 points, 300 points, or 3000+ points?

5 pips to a hourly chart trader is not the same as 5 pips to a minute chart trader:

- where one is destroyed by volatility the other merely absorbs it.
- one has more commissions and fees than the other.
- one is more prone to losing multiple R, given a gap move.
- with one you have to operate within specific trading windows
- with one you have to spend more time at your computer.
- with one you often miss the major moves while you are sleeping.

And on and on.
