For security reasons and also to reduce the server load, the forum users are first required to be logged in to the forums to be able to see the attachements (images & files).
You should check the "Log me on automatically each visit" checkbox in the log in dialogue. Then you'll be logged in automatically whenever you open any forum web page.
If you are not registered yet, then you should first
