A fresh start! Doji's Trading Journal

Post by dojirock »

Im starting this thread to post what I know thus far and hopes of helping someone else that may be struggling with it as I am. Im starting out with a micro account, my only choice and would like to retire some day after putting my kids through college. Many thanks to the great traders here. I would like to stick to momentum trading here and have been trying to decipher what MO, Dragon , adseb, es/pip, and Vane(she is great at explaining in simple terms). So as I put down what I currently understand, feel free to let me know if im off base. I have read the forums multiple times and each time I find gold nuggets in them. It seems the great traders of this style are getting ready to move on, Im hoping I can catch on and pay it forward to others before they leave.

My journey begins.....

Attached is an excel file that I will be using to track my progress and make me more accountable to my goals. I have posted it here on page 1 so that as I make updates, I can do it in the same place all the time. Ideas are welcome!

Pretty simple, im a scalper, with a high success rate. Im using this spreadsheet to keep my focus on one thing, 20 pips a day! Thanks to DC Happy for the idea.

I call them mbars....just tired of typing momentum, and sick of momo....

This is how I see them.

Stopped out on the EU.....
Probably not a good idea to trade to the 50% line?
or
Wait till the volume picks up?

You've said you have blown accounts before, how did that happen? I'd use one 1 micro until you get consistent.

You could do what I'm trying - make 1000 net pips with 1 micro. Once I do that, I'm going to add some more money into my account, and use a basic money management system.

You can add 3 zeros to your account in 1 year by making 200 pips per week and increasing lot size appropriately. That's being modest too in my opinion. My point is trade with the smallest size you can, and become consistent first, then worry about growing your account.

If, for your preferred terminology, mbars = MOMO, your definition is troubling...

Nice Doji,

Looking forward to seeing you do this!

Remember Dragon style looks for H1 Momo and then rejection of the Zline or Mighty Zone in the candles that follow... The H4 charts are targets... also great to trade away from the zones in the direction of H4 MOMO... (I think this is where you went wrong in your EURO buy)

Peace dude and may you start seeing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow soon...
