Hi Tro,

i must have asked it before, but just to remind me ;-) :

at which screen resolution do you run or test your indicators?

i always start with scrambled text over each other such as below from the 2016 mp breakout indi

probably that is because i run at a screen resolution of 2880x1620

spoken from programmer to programmer: there sure is a solution to tackle this at the source ;-)

update:

i think it is caused by running a high res screen + increased dpi (125%)

seems the increased dpi to create havoc !

I have a 24" Dell monitor hooked up to my laptop.

But it shouldn't matter.

Upload your chart pic to kreslik.com.

i had problem to upload the image
got error "Could not upload attachment to ./files/7869_1036b3c3a441eb3f07465b980c2da781."
when i include the tinypic link in image brackets it shows in preview but not in the message

so i included the tinypic link.

it is certainly dpi setting which is creating this
was standing at 125%
when i change it back to 100% everything is OK

running on windows7
and also a external monitor(res1920x1200) attached to laptop
laptop screen at res 2880x1620

will try if i can solve this behaviour.
behaviour is also described in this thread https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/158168

if dpi=96 (100%) everything ok
if dpi set to 125% the text behind the buttons overlaps the buttons
if i change myfontsize in the indicator from 12 to 10 (which is almost the same change as the dpi change
in the opposite direction) it seems ok
