Not to long ago the EURUSD ATR was about 3 pips on the 5 minute. Now it is up to 20+. You can actually scalp the 1 minute chart. Crazy times indeed.

that can also be a good thing i guess
depends on the liquidity

im glad to see that noone got cought off guard
one of my good friends got completely wiped out on that 30% gap in crude

i had no position over that weekend (the rule is to never hold positions over the weekend)
it was a great opportunity to take a lot of money out of the market
and even tho the volatility is very nice now i significantly reduced my size

playing it safe > anything else
we need to trade to see another day
i mean for the seasoned traders at least!

if i was a small trader now i would push my fkn account to the limits
and would progressively go more and more picky as the account would grow
play it like a poker tournament - start loose and go more and more tight as the game progresses

These are the ranges that allow for adding zeros to an account. The past 2 weeks was enough movement to double up.
