Re: HELP! Any advice?
bbtrader wrote:Having a helluva time with the BuyZones. Running TS 8.2 3863 with _TRO_BuyZone and _TRO_Dynamic_FibsSR. Every morning I load the chart, the BuyZones are incorrectly displayed. See picture. If I unload the BuyZone analyis technique and then add it back in to the chart, then it seems to work OK. Using regular sessions. What could be the problem?
Make sure UPDATE INTRABAR IS NOT CHECKED.

Gary,
Well I just loaded this new version of the Zones into my Russell chart and it works perfectly. What are the settings you're using?

Eudaimonia (pron.: you-die-moan-e-a) (Greek: εὐδαιμονία) is a classical Greek word commonly translated as 'happiness'. The less subjective "human flourishing" is often preferred as a translation.

TRO BUY ZONE- Problem-
Hi,
Can anybody help please. I can not get the horizontal lines to work. I'm using Tradestation 8.2. I played with the session. I unchecked the value update intra day bar. Are there any other suggestions out there.
Thanks in advance.
Robin

Would some of the futures traders please post their buyzone workspaces.
I don't know what the problem is.. it works for some but not for others.
Hopefully, everyone has downloaded the latest version of the buyzone.

TRO,
First thanks for all you do. I actually spent 9 hours over the weekend reading forums from here and Tradestation that go back a few years.
Just some more info on the problem. I trade equities and I set it up per your instructions on Friday. I downloaded the newest version. It did work at first and then Friday my computer locked up and I had to restart it. When I restarted the chart the lines disappeared. I tried deleting it and redoing it but nothings working.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I just remembered a couple of things...
1) The BuyZone won't work on the weekends if you are using DAILYOPEN because it is a QUOTE FIELD AND because the current date doesn't match the date of the last bar on the chart (Friday's bar).
2) Make sure your session is REGULAR hours or the open price won't be correct unless the instrument you are trading starts at a different time.
3) If you post your workspace, then others can load it and see if they can figure out what's wrong.

Hi All,
I trade futures (ER2) and just discovered TROs BuyZone a few days ago. I have been using TRO's version without a problem; as long as you uncheck update intrabar.
From what I've seen, I don't think the BuyZone can be backtested and should be traded to be learned (I just started learning). However, I built the following code for myself since I wanted a historical perspective on how the BuyZone works, how frequently it will trade per day, and what the zones should be depending on the instrument.
This code should no way replace the TRO BuyZone which I believe is more robust. Besides, the usage of trendlines is a bit cleaner. However, if you are still having trouble with your buyzone indicator or want to historically backtest it, feel free to use my submission.
Again, this code is pretty raw since I am not a very good programmer. The open price depends on your proper input of the correct time your exchange opens. Feel free to make changes and clean it up. Hope this helps.
Thanks,
JR
