proximity to 5ema indicator request

Postby chancee90046 » Sun Dec 23, 2007 8:51 pm

TRO... Just wondering if you've ever created an indicator for radar screen that tells you the price's proximity to the 5 EMA? In other words, if I get an alert for a hammer or NRB in radar screen, it would be nice to quickly see if the price is too far from the 5 EMA for a trade.

I have all the motherlodes and read through the old tradestation thread again but don't see anything. You have a couple that deal with the 5EMA being crossed, and how long ago it was, etc. (SMAA COMPASS V.2) but nothing that tells where price is in relation to the moving average.

It would be nice to have something that gave like, say a '1' if price was really close... '2' kind of close, etc. If you would ever consider coding something together like that it would be much appreciated. Love the site. -Chance

Yes, I did. I think there's an _EMA5 indicator or you could use TRO_ZONE (I think).

But you can use TRO PLOT with close - xaverage(c,5) as the input to get what you want.
IT'S NOT WHAT YOU TRADE, IT'S HOW YOU TRADE IT!

Please do NOT PM me with trading or coding questions, post them in a thread.
