On a time-based chart like 1m 5m 1h etc., the chart is always moving sideways, no matter what´s happening or not. On a tic-chart or a volume based chart (last one is a brand new concept to me), chart only moves sideways if there are trades going on.

--> If the tic chart formed a horizontal line in the past, s**t was happening at this price level. Battles were won and lost. If the time based chart is forming a horzizontal line... well, i suppose it juts might be middle of the night :D

This difference obviously is for <1d charts only.

By the way: You can not load tic charts in mt4.

This took me 5 years to notice. Wtf.
