Damn I need psychological help.
I was short this hr a few times and all I've got is 1 pip.
That's the trade I was waiting for, actually took it and then bailed with -3.6.
Then you can see what happened here.
I know where it's going but can not figure out how to get there.
errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
I would have been done for the day in 30 min.
WHY!!!!!?????

Pro,

All I have to say to you is 3-2-1-1 and 3-1-1. Figure that out and you will have all the help you will need

was good for 100 pips short on the EJ this afternoon/evening. More if you worked the ups and downs on the 5 and 15 minute chart at the same time

once you figure that pattern out, the only reason you shouldnt pull the trigger on a trade is if you can't make it fit inside your risk profile. - just means you need to wait a little longer for a bigger retrace

When my friend had problems like this I told him not to liquidate every thing.

If you are trading 20 micro lots then liquidate 16 and hold 4 for at least 36 pips.

The profit will only amount to ~7 pips, but the benefit is in slowing down the number of entries and getting you accustomed to trading for more pips.

As you feel comfortable you might hold 2/5 then 3/5 etc.

+ 7 pips is better than 1 pip ;)

-6.5 pips
Scared chittless, unable to hold trades but boy can I let it hit my stop.
The first trade was the one I wanted and didn't hold.
Even had a few more that would have really banked.
When I did get brave and hold I was up 9 and it ended by having it hit my stop. Go figure. Reversed for 3 huge M15 candles.

As usually, charts looked the same as every other day that I sit down.
I'm still the same too as the results speak for themselves.

you obviously arent getting enough info out of your charts!!!!

make them smaller so you can see further back and try to envision previous price behavior - new high before a low? or a new low before a high?

Did a certain level hold? or was it off by just a pip

I'll give you an example. I got a signal to go long - a limit buy on a retrace. It retraced further than I expected, moving a "3" a bit lower - but still in my risk tolerance - but it changed the sequence of events as the 3 -1 -1 pattern was broken and that typically PA that may unfold if the level was held may not........So I got out at the 23.6 percent retrace area rather than hold............

and it sank like a stone afterward. Could this just be a coincidence? Yes, but I'll take a 30ish pip gain over a 25 pip loss any day

There are times to hold and times to fold............how cliche is that Mr-Kenny-rogers-wannabe.....................
