Here is a trade from earlier that pissed me off.
Impulse entry after a spike, then it looked like it was continuing so I bought (another micro breakout).
Massive drawdown (if you consider that 5sec range massive) LOL
AND price tickling the entry without letting me close with profit.
Finally it took off and hit tp. Damn.

Today has been a BS kind of day. . .

What would have happened if you had thought about and separated margin and risk?

NQ 1 contract max:
Margin: $1000
Risk: $428.57
r: ?

NQ 2 contract max:
Margin: $2000
Risk: $857.14
r: ?

NQ 3 contract max:
Margin: $3000
Risk: $1285.71
r: ?

NQ 5 contract max:
Margin: $5000
Risk: $2142.85
r: ?

NQ 6 contract max:
Margin: $6000
Risk: $2571.42 } initially 30% of the total
r: $1408.43 } $ allocated to trading larger lot sizes

You then trade 1 or 2 contracts using 'risk', or you trade 3 to 6 contracts using 'r';
now your maximum loss is $1408, or $2571, and you can scale to 6 lots; given enough allocation into 'r'.

What matters is that you take the time to think about how you are utilizing your money.

Profitable Loser's stop would not have got hit because it would have been .1 below the lows.
Unless he wanted to get paid to get out.
