The pic is for spot, I trade CME future, its price moves half step ahead of spot.

But, I missed GBP down in the afternoon.

TRO

I didn't understand BuyZone three years ago when you were programming it for TradeStation. Wicks and Tails are a big part of trading this strategy as is and even more so the time frame. The bigger the time frame, the bigger wicks and tails traders need to consider and plan for.

I've attached a screen shot of one of my trading strategies. Could you modify TRO02009_WICK_COUNT_UI so it will have an option to display the Wicks, Tails or Both? We already have wicks and tails, so we just need the Both option.

One thing I really like about the BZ is that it is fluid and trades either long or short depending on the price action after the opening of a new candle-genius.

Thanks, so much!

[I will attach the chart pic when I get home, ran out in a hurry.]

Got home and my computer hung up and had to play around for a while and have dinner with my beloved family.

TRO, I read your post below and have come to believe the wicks and tails and time frames have a great deal to do with how you set your trading variables weather you want to trade each H1 or M30 or M15 or M5 or M1 time frame. There are two ways to trade the wicks, tails and candle bodies. The stats from the two matrix are very helpful in choosing the variable values.

Based on a very small sample, I also am inclined to believe that the wick and tail statistical variance suggests a separate value for each. I've invested a lot of time, and am starting to see, and the value of statistics is beginning to make real sense to me.

Notice the wick and tails tend to get longer with longer time frames. How can we use this in our trading?

Thanks for all your help in this effort,

It would not make any sense to display BOTH.

Wicks and tails have NOTHING to do with the BUY ZONE.

The Buy Zone is concerned with price movement AWAY from the open or starting price.

Wicks are High - candle body top and tails are candle body bottom - low. Reversal trades are concerned with the wicks and tails.

TRO

Could you refer me to threads I should read dealing with wicks and tails and reversals? I dare say this also impacts MO lines and zones and BuyZone trading.

Thanks for all your help,

I really like you id icon, welcome to Kreslik.

The indi is TRO2009_WICK_COUNT_UI, any that start with TRO2009 are donational. There is also TRO2009_WICK_HISTOGRAM indi which is also at the bottom of the first chart above. I've got to learn more about wicks and tails.
