The comeback/second chance

Postby mrmaster » Fri Jun 29, 2007 1:40 pm

Ok, after getting my butt kicked and my account blown trading on fundamentals only I decided to revaluate my strategy on mix it with technical analysis too. I will mostly make trades on a system I have developed for spotting short/long term trends. I have back tested it and feel like it's time to put it to a test. My investment in this test is small so for now it's not about the money , my main goal is to be a Winning trader.

I have decided to start a journal for my trading for a couple of reasons-
1.I think it will help me with my discipline problems . Although I have clear Entry-Exit strategies , I sometimes don't follow them.Usually at loosing trades.
2.It's a nice way to keep book and stats.
3.Feedback and crtitics will improve my trading system.

My trades will differ a lot - day trades-swingtrades-long term , whatever the markets offer as with currency pairs. I have no favorites except winning trades.

I will start next week with a bankroll of 780 USD.

I've never had much time for fundamentals. You're never going to be privvy to the latest up to date information - and very often charts do different things to what is expected with the fundamentals.

TRO sums it up very well on this site - know who is in control - the buyers or the sellers - and together with statistics, that is all you need.

I am not a scalper as it doesn't fit my personality. However, I *always* look at a higher timeframe to see the overall trend, then drop down to a smaller timeframe to get an entry.

Good luck - there's LOADS of great advice on this site. Use it!

Alex

Not getting any trades triggered by my system so playing the patience game right now. The dollar is correctly in my opinion weakening against many currencies , see if it will increase gap further.

EUR/CHF Long 1.6565 BR:756 $
SL 1.6546
Target 1.6600 and above .

Looking at EUR/SEK for the moment and it has crossed many long term trend lines and it might be in for a long down trend . Thinking of taking a long term position .
