We are working on a connection level, symbol specific, user customizable tick filter based on the new tick filter engine introduced in 4.10 build 41.

Once that is available, users who tracked forex or a small basket of symbols will have much better control over the data collected.

Since the current file based method suits real-time access pretty well, it is not a good idea to change that or adding options in sub-release. Actually, CSV files can be used directly, but it must have a recognizable header line.

For example, if your CSV file is a standard daily data text file, then a header line like this must be there,

date,open,high,low,close,volume
