Re: HOLO - Highest Open / Lowest Open Trade
For those that didn't know, I wrote a HOLO EA.
Based on the following idea by TRO:
HIGHEST H1 OR M30 (ptg) OPEN of the day
IF M5 OPENS ABOVE... GO SHORT AT HO
LOWEST H1 OR M30 OPEN of the day
IF M5 OPENS BELOW.. GO LONG AT LO
At BE+5.. MOVE SL TO BE+1... AT BE+10 MOVE SL TO BE+5
Had some time to go over HOLO results - TRO rules + TP half @ 10 and rest @ 20. Not profitable, worse if it is limited to only NY sessions, and worse yet if the trailing stops are used. I think with a much larger TP or dynamic TP, loosened trails, advanced MM and some filters, it could work, but it wouldn't be the original idea.

Would you please send the EA to me. Thanks.

Any ideas? Mods?
If it was profitable I was going to dumb down the code and share the configuration that worked. As it is, I can't share as it has many bells and whistles I don't want out there. I wrote it with the higher functionality in order to test the efficacy of the actual entry, as I understand how these functions behave in a vacuum, i.e. with random entries. Happy to add mods or test certain configs if you want, but not keen on re-working the code just to share a non-working version.

Seeing the code may give me ideas on how to modify it.

Modify a strategy by looking at code? The nice way of saying I must have written it incorrectly...
Current Parameters:
Start-time, end-time
Timeframes 1,2,3: where daily, hourly, and 5 minute , respectively, give your base scenario
2 Jumpstops (X1,Y1,X2,Y2): Move stop to BE+Xn when price is BE+Yn
2 TPs: Remove half volume @ TP1 and remainder @ TP2
Give me any parameter settings, I can run them and post the chart with trades or list with trades. Or, tell me what strategic mods / other parameters you want to see.
