Hi MightyOne

I wanted to ask, in addition to space/accumulation, what do you think about studying psychology?
Thanks.

You should study psychology every time you place a trade

If you cannot understand yourself then how can you understand someone else?

Ok, thanks for your reply.
I have been thinking about doing this exercise, I think it may have been you who proposed it years ago.
When first sitting down at the computer just draw a horizontal line at current price and trade away from it.
If I am able to do that as an exercise, then putting that line close to an extreme (as in e.g. Bredins video and your teachings) should be great.

I have spent some time on Tradingview just so I could basket trade with the USDollar Index. Im amazed at how many traders Blow out there screens with junk. All kinds of indicators. Charts are just a reflection of criteria set by wall street to draw price. How many have really thought about that?
Really thought about that? My point being in complete agreement with TRO's Philosophy when it comes to trading. A Line. Pure and simple.
I have found my own calculation based on price to give me my lines. Entry without a doubt is at these lines. What makes my lines? I wont disclose that but believe me there are thousands of ways to come up with working lines. Mine is not the only way. These lines have nothing to do with a time chart. The calculation works on any chart. Why? Because its a predetermined way of placing them.

In the pics, only 3 entries and 2 exits on the 1st chart. My manual trading chart. 48 points ($20 a point). WTH?? How many points does one need in an hour?
Its not hard to figure out that I exit when I get an inner bar. I dont have a calculated line for exits. Just entries.

The second chart is a bot trading the same lines on steroids due to it efficiencies that I dont have manually trading it. Again 3 points at a time. In an hour!

My main reason for posting this is due to emails I still get about trading. It intrigues me for some reason to see some traders still struggling that have done the time here on Kreslik and still flounder. I hope this encourages them to think more freely, simplistically. To echo TRO, again, its about a line. Using Tro's Line methodology or whatever, I encourage traders to look at a chart, place a line, and really look at it...... Its all you need.....you will be amazed at what can happen.

MightyOne,

To have a sincere go at turning 5000 USD into a million by end of 2016, what sort of money management & risk management strategy do you employ/recommend? Of course, considering that it does not matter even a bit, if entire 5K is lost whilst trying..

"To every man there openeth a way,
And the high soul climbs the high way,
And the low soul gropes the low;
And in between on the misty flats,
The rest drift to and fro.
But to every man there openeth
A high way and a low
And every man decideth
The way his soul shall go."

Before we can talk about winning we have to talk about losing:

Losing it all is harder than you think. At a maximum risk of 1.5% it would take
about 2 weeks of 100% losers (blowing up your space) just to move down 1 level
where as any single win (a %target) will move you up one level.

[$5,000.00] <--- start here
[$4,127.01] <--- destroy space 14 times (-17.45974098866722%)
[$3,406.44] ...28 times
[$2,811.69] ...42 times
[$2,320.77] ...56 times
[$1,915.57] ...70 times
[$1,581.12] ...84 times
...& you still have 6 more waypoints before you are down by 90% (24 total weeks, 168 losses)

Now we can talk a little about winning:

A more realistic number would be 2000% or roughly 16 waypoints in one year using 21.153% waypoints.

It is possible to add two zeros and then some, but I wouldn't count on it

I will be starting an ideas II thread in March to go over the newer ideas.
