Buy Zone Settings for E-Minis

Postby Susana » Sat Nov 03, 2007 7:37 pm

Hello friends,

I realize the BuyZone is a powerful tool but could someone please tell me the optimal settings for the e-minis ?

ES
ER2
NQ
YM

I know Avery has a statistics ELD but I'm not technical enough to understand how to use it to apply it to the buyzone.

Basically, I need some help, and yes, I have searched and read the forums but some conclusions are welcome.

Susana:

It's not that difficult. You simply set the inputs of the statistics indicator.

You might try a move of .25 and .50 and see what the stats are. Then maybe .50 and 1.00. Sooner or later you'll find a combination that produces 80% or better winning trades.

Susana,
I have been testing 1.0 and 2.0 as the upper and lower limits on NQ with a good amount of success.
I have only been using NQ because my observations have been that ES and YM are a little to erratic for my liking, just my opinion.
Would be interested in knowing the statistics on the NQ parameters from above, I don't have TS so I can't run them myself.

Avery,

I loaded the Stat indicator on a 5 min NQ chart to pass the info to Frank but I'm not quite sure if I'm doing this right.

All I got is the # of times price close > open which was .44 for 2 years back.

I'm afraid I'm lost in space.

Use the radarscreen version and use a DAILY INTERVAL.
