So, I have been thinking about trade selection to ensure that space is only created at extremes.
From now on I will try this, to look at charts and if I see "wow, that was a nice momentum" (see example below) I will put an alert around the origin (extreme) that will be sent to my phone. Only if price comes back will I look at small charts, it is so easy to get pulled in otherwise.

In essence my main preparation work would then be to spot great momentum, put in alerts and then wait.
One disadvantage could be that for very strong moves prices does not come back to the origin.

I will let you guys know how this works out, worth a try I think.

Edit: May not have been the best of examples considering higher time frame charts, sorry about that.
