When you are trading future spreads are you legging in and out or do you have a broker that offer some of the common spreads?

There is nothing wrong with legging, you just need to have the funds for a day trading account to do so.

The idea behind taking down the greatest number of pips:

Image

1/3 space dedicated to scalping (enough space for 2+ trades)
2/3 space dedicated to position trading from the extremes.

The idea is that you still have time to position trade when your scalp towards the extreme doesn't work out.

Partial profits can be taken, when scalping, to turn your scalp into a position trade.

Your real profit target should be percent not pips so get those lot sizes up.

Very simple, thanks MO!

MO, is the red line a MA overlay based off normal time charts?

It is simply a 1MA HL/2.

Price extremes don't really matter on small charts so you can make it easy on yourself and reduce the data to one price per period.

Great stuff MO :D It really is that simple

I am as of yet not the best position trader. I will have to place myself in the
scalp catagorie since i tend to exit alot (after 1,2,3(4,5,6) bars or CC's) and
then sqeeze my space tighter holding position behind high/lows.

Witch in turn makes some of my best trades 2 points on a smaller TF on the scalp
side of the weekly median and as stated above i generally tend to close these after a certain amount of time whether it be CC/90m close or a % goal.

But i am pleased to say i had max lotsize on the run up yesterday :D
Good times.

Merry christmas and a happy new year everybody!

Just a suggestion in terms of terminology.

We don't actually know that is the median for that time frame. I think "mid point" would be a better term to use.

The only way you would know what the median was would be to look at the price say every second for that time frame and than sort all those values and find the middle most price value.
