The future of currency?
In Time
In Time is a new sci-fi movie about a future where science has figured out how to stop the aging process. To prevent overpopulation, the solution was to allow everyone to live to age 25, and then give them one year to live. Time has replaced money as currency. If you don't earn more time, then you die. The rich effectively live forever. A cup of coffee costs 4 minutes.

You guys see it?
I loved how they drained the banks! LOL
For being such an interesting concept, I feel they could have done a little better job, but it was fun to watch.
Lots of similarities to the current system:
The rich can live forever and the poor die young -> The rich can live longer due to better access to health care.
The poor live day to day -> Most people live paycheck to paycheck.
Once you finally get out of debt, you die -> Most people spend their whole lives trying to finally retire but will take too much of their life to achieve.
It becomes more and more expensive to change "Time Zones" -> Nicer areas are more expensive that keep the poor from being able to afford to
live their.
The banks raised the cost of living as people accumulated more "time" so that they continually had to work harder and harder...
