MA of Volume

Postby russian_bear » Sun Mar 25, 2007 11:00 am

Hi !
In my trades I often use volume as an indicator of market sentiment. I'd like to have MA of volume on chart. Could someone help me and create esignal code which will add 1 and/or 5-minutes MA of Volume to volume chart? I hope it is not a big challenge for those who knows esignal programming well. I just bought esignal subsription and currently unable to programm *.EFS code.
Thanks in advance
Alex

RuGO, thanks for file!

Is there a way to add this "MAofVolume" to some other *.EFS, for example to add it to TRO's TRO_TRADE_ZONES.EFS?

thanks in advance

Sasha, not sure I follow your question... how do you want to run this? I would think TRO has a SM indicator that can be adapted for a MAofVOL...

normally, this would be run this in a window at the bottom. Therefore, it wouldn't be combined with TRO's study.

yes, I found that I can add several *.EFS to same chart and have several stydies together on same chart... I didn't know it's possible. Anyway, it looks attractive to me to have a way to "cut&past" code from some 1.efs and add it to some other 2.efs to have all studies on same *.efs. But definetely I have to learn esignal code... ok, will do it.
thanks everybody

Avg Volume efs

Postby Rebel » Sun Oct 21, 2007 3:17 pm

Attached are 2 average volume efs studies I use

The first is a just a moving average of volume, you specify the length in with edit studies. I use this for daily or longer time frames.

The second is very effective in intraday timeframes, it shows the average volume at that time bar for the last X days, where X is specified in edit studies.
