Robots do make money.

Maybe 50% of all the volume in forex is run by institutional robots that make trades in NANOseconds.

But these are real robots not these, moving average cross piece of s**t EA that I see trolling around the "wannabie rich forex trader" forums.

Well the first time I doubled my real account was trading MAs manually. I still think they are the only "indicator" worth something. They basically act like trendlines.

MA's also have plenty of fakeouts too. They seem most effective in the shortest time-frames where the market behaviour/volatility is most noticeable and where scalping is possible in case of fakeout.

When you have a good alternative strategy you will notice that MA's aren't as good as they look.

Scalping with MAs? You'll be getting a trigger every minute, the winning % will be horrid. I traded on M15 minimum.

I do have an alternative strategy, and yes price itself is the best indicator, but my point is MAs are the lesser of evils compared to Stoch or Rsi.

Agreed.

Yeah, a trigger very often, meaning bots got alot of work to do lol.

It will also depend on factors like volume, spread/pair (fractional pips) and other issues where you get a good hourly range.

I don't use MA's anymore, they were a great introduction but too many fakeouts in all time-frames.

TRO,

$97 robot that made $250 in 40 minutes.

But they rather sell it because they enjoy marketing/selling, headache, payment processing, liability, customer support...

hmm.... lol
