A trend is a trend is a trend, but I still prefer candles ;)

Did you exit on that large body?

Would have been a good idea

EDIT: NVM, I see that you were ~targeting the previous high extreme.

I am not saying to use line charts. I made them to show a comparison
between price and custom candles.

Actually the line chart is a representation of candles also.

Trust me I prefer using candles as well for more information.

The simple pic was more for thought provoking than anything.

What's going on inside :!:
and
How can this price be thought of simply :!:

I target near previous highs/lows. The actual exit is based on what I see
near that area. Possible SL at breakout points, or SL past the extreme for
example.

Do you THINK you SEE it or do you really SEE it? Becasue if you are not
sure let me know and I'll try to explain it better if I can.

Im pretty sure I understand what you meant....your looking at the impulse move on the m5, waiting until it makes a new HH or LL and marking the extremes with the fib to watch for the 50% retrace......please correct me if Im wrong.

Are your entries with the H1 or simply when you get your entry signal?
I've learned from my mistakes and I'm sure I can repeat them exactly - Peter Cook

Ya you seem like you understand. I use other timeframes to be on the
look out for problem areas. Typically don't try to ride a M5 move thru a
H1 s/r area, for example.
