1. Open an account on Oanda (I believe you can hedge to the nearest dollar)

2. Sell as many euros as your account balance and buy what ever currency you feel is safer.

3. Liquidate the trade to revert back to euros.

4. If the whole world is going up in flames like it was some years ago then buy gold

MO

If you are very thirsty and have gold, and I have no gold, but have water, how much gold is a glass of water worth to you.

I was about to buy some gold when a good friend said by goods, things I could eat and drink.

What do you think?

I will die before I eat canned food ;)

Beef, Steaks, & Roasts will last for 6 months in a freezer.

Potatoes are cheap and if they start to turn you can just stick them in the ground and tuh duh fresh new potatoes ;)

Rise will last just about forever so long as it is kept sealed and dry.

Honey lasts forever and can replace energy drinks and coffee...ok, it cannot replace coffee

A water bottle from life-saver systems is handy for obtaining purified water.

Beer that ages well, because one cannot go 2 days without a beer...it is just impossible.

The question is how long do you need to survive for?

Worst case scenario I just hop on a private jet and search the four corners of the Earth for food

MO... Thanks for your advice. I was thinking along that lines.

Regarding food... I got a piece of land in a small island where you can grow 4 crops of potatoes in a year without irrigation, there are lots of fruit trees and bee hives give you honey the year round, game and fish is plentiful and weather is nice...

Cheers

Francisco

You will find that insect eggs are included with your rice purchases which later develop into their own colonies. You can still use the rice as most insects float to the top with water added. Just skim them off or boil with them for a little crunchy variety.
