That was how I thought it would be used. Kind of putting a pin in your profit to hold it there. I've been demoing with MBT so unable to play with this. Deposited funds in my live account, where I can hedge, and the deposit registered Fri arv just before I had to go to work. Now I have to wait out the weekend!

The way bredin showed the hedging is a great way to do it. Lock your
profit in minus a few pips and then release it at a better price. better than moving stoploss to break even after the move, IMO.

Takes some time to retrain the mind it seems!

Controling loss and not being greedy is the winning formula.

Ya its ok, I switched to using the charts from my broker instead of IBFX
MT4 platform. Practicing taking small losses and not being greedy. PA
today was rough, good learning experience.

If you control too much your losses, you will take many small ones, and if you are not greedy enough, you'll take small profits, thus in the end it adds up to 0. I think we need to be greedy BUT we need to secure some pips when we can.

Guess I should clarify:

What I mean by control my losses, is actually get out of a trade when I
should.

What I mean by not be greedy, is actually take a profit when I should.

I had/have a bad habit of letting them run too long.
