Just found this site yesterday and wanted to say hello and let my presence be known. I must say that I am impressed. I am a relatively new trader and have been looking for a place to talk to others and learn. It seems to me that most other "trading" sites are just trying to "stick it to you" where here it is much friendlier and more condusive to ideas about trading.
I have read through many of the threads here. I'm addicted to all the information. Hopefully one day, I will be in a position to help others like you guys do here. I want to pay it forward too! That has got to be a good feeling. Keep up the good works.
Thanks...
Awesome site!

Robert,
Welcome to the forum. I too consider this one of the best sites out there for trading and I am very grateful to Michal, TRO and others that make it what it is.
Please feel free to ask questions.
Edward

Eudaimonia (pron.: you-die-moan-e-a) (Greek: εὐδαιμονία) is a classical Greek word commonly translated as 'happiness'. The less subjective "human flourishing" is often preferred as a translation.

Hi guys, thanks for welcoming me in.
Well, I've got to tell you that I am really green. I've had a Scottrade account for about two years and have only been trading stocks. Stocks in the $2 to $10 range. I've had some luck along with tons of research before each stock purchase.
Since I have been able to accumilate a few beans trading, I've decided to take it to the next level and actually learn what the hell I'm doing so I can take a shot at really making some decent money. I work as a Commercial RE Appraiser and am really comforable with all aspects of computers (except coding) so the stock market feels like a natural to me. Kind of geeky that way.
I know a lot of people are running from TradeStation but for me, I think it is the best way to start out. With all of TRO's work already done (thank you), and me not wanting to reinvent the wheel, and that the platform has so many options that I don't even know what they are yet, plus I've done the "chase the latest greatest software" thing before. It may be true that it costs a little more but it does work and do a pretty good job of it from what I read. It's a big jump from ScotT to TS anyway. I signed up with TS today.
I had originally bought OmniTrader this past December and studied all the indicators and systems but realized quickly that was not the way I want to trade so I sent it back before the 30 day trial was up. It felt slow and cumbersome. I need something faster.
I'm not ready to quit my day job yet but I'll bet I will be taking a few more days off. My wife thinks I've gone nuts but I can't help it. I really am addicted to all this information. I love it.
I've been studing charts for 3 months and have been reading about and testing the indicators and systems in OT for about a month. I'm like a dry spounge soaking it all in.
I want to try to milk some cows and then I want to jump in after the second touch of a dynamic support line after I've looked at my compass.
Yes, I'm hooked! Puddy ready to be molded into a super trader!
