What is the ultimate strategy for the GBYJPY?

Postby patriotstef » Thu Dec 17, 2009 6:57 pm

Hi guys,

Well, I'm STILL trying to make forex work for me. I wanted to know which, if any, of the DTB systems do best for the "Guppy". This pair is different from all the rest and do not exactly follow the same patterns the other currencies do without going way too far in the opposite direction as quickly as it does. Does anyone know of the best way to take profit from this pair? It doesn't have to be TRO's stuff if you know of something that hasn't reached TRO's attention yet.

Thanks

How about this.

Now don't start laughing until after you have actually given this a SERIOUS thought please.

I am NOT taking the mickey =;

Here it comes.

Buy low, sell high.

Sell high, buy low.

A bit boring if you ask me (or Donald Trump, to name but a person).

So, here's what I would do if I were you.

Open a chart on a timeframe. Do NOT put on indicators. That includes TRO indicators.

Look at the chart and ask yourself this:

where can I

a) buy low and sell high

b) sell high and buy low

Post a chart with the answers !

Trading is like cycling, first you need to learn how.
Two options: you either lose or win!

See picture below. If you want to trade this mofo pair and earn money, you will have to do it on higher timeframes unless it is your goal to hand out money. I have marked some supply- and demand zones. I would advise you to read Sam Seiden's articles on FXStreet.com and watch his video's there to find out how it works, this buying low and selling high thing. Right now, if I wanted to trade this and in case it were according to my tradeplan, I would be looking to place a buy limit in the 143.50 area with a s/l of 60 pips. But I wouldn't want that since the range is tightening (end of year perhaps) which in combination with the volatility is too risky w.r.t. the profit expectation.
