Triangulation

Postby cakranegara » Thu Aug 27, 2009 4:37 am

Greetings all,

This is my first thread on this forum.. i hope i can share some of my strategy..

Here's the main idea of this strategy..

Image

I personally use this pairs: EG, EU, and GU

The idea are:

When EG is down, that's mean E under G, so we can look at GU to open order at EU.
If GU is down, then EU is down also. And, if GU is up, that means EU is up.

When EG is up, that's mean E is above G, so we can look at EU to open order at GU.
If EU is down, then GU is down also. And, if EU is up, that means GU is up.

I hope someone can help me to correct my strategy, and I apologize if my english is bad... I come from Indonesia.

Thanks....

Look into parallel and inverse trading using group of currencies is one good strategy but it should not be used alone it seems you have alot to look at you may want to simplify your screen.

I trade GU using UJ and EU as parallel and inverse partners works well to tell me if a reversal may be happening or breakout but it is not the only signals i use but my screen is slightly less cluttered.

As for what you see yes strong USD will drive E G down, weak USD will drive prices up supposed to be but sometimes volume will not be as good on one currency as the other i have seen EU move 50-100pips while GU sit tight in 20-30pips range.

I also find this type of signal is not very clear on time frames larger than 4H.

thats my opinion.

Thanx for interesting strategy.

One question:

How are you deciding, that pair is Up (or Down)?

One ask:

Would you mind posting a template for your set-up,
it looks nice & pretty with some interesting trend indicator.
