Forex trading- Buy on Bid / Sell on Ask

I haven't yet begun trading forex yet, still papertrading the buyzone and DTB methods. I do have one question, with equities I am able to buy on the bid (sometimes plus 1 or 2 cents depending on the stock) and sell on the ask (sometimes minus 1 or 2 cents) using limit orders.

Is this realistic with Forex, does anyone buy on the bid +1,2,3....etc pips and vice versa and what is the amount above the bid and ask that you would place your orders. I have an account with MB Trading so I will not have to deal with the fixed spread bandits, I mean brokers. My orders will go directly through their ECN.

Yes. I use MB Trading Limit orders.
