Andreas,
I've not looked at that yet.

Today I did great until the last 3 trades.
"I" turned the one into a loss that would have been a winner.
Then the last two I got jumpy trying to protect profit and closed them waaaaaay to early.

3.5hrs. 8 trades/1 loss (my fault)

+22 pips 4.59% increase......
Put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!!!!!!!!! :smt025

TRO gratuity fund: 315.42 + 30.48 = $345.90

The most amazing thing is that the maximum I saw in draw down on a trade was -5.1 pips at any point while open.
I missed one trade that went to .08 line before I got in so I closed it immediately when I saw +2 pips profit. Bad boy jumped out there.

When done trading I switched to a 15m chart and took a DTB trade with my fxdd demo.
e/j hit the trigger off an H1 #1. Went against me so I took another on next candle trigger. When the 1st got to B/E I bagged the +14 pips on the 2nd. (Fxdd 4 pip spread/Fxcm has 1.2 spread)

I've got the Sema dots set to H1 specs on a 15m chart. I also added blue #4 at a H4 #3 spec. and a red #5 at a D1 #3 spec.
It goes like this using a 15m chart and iperiod settings of:
#1 brown @ 20
#2 purple @ 52
#3 yellow @ 156
#4 blue @ 544
#5 red @ 3264

This might save chart flipping and let me know what type of break it really is.
Hey, can't a guy have a little fun while waiting for the next psych line or hr to pop up?????
It's only demo!!!!!!!
Show some love, will ya? :smt057

Nice trading pro! Way to control your risk.

Edward
Eudaimonia (pron.: you-die-moan-e-a) (Greek: εὐδαιμονία) is a classical Greek word commonly translated as 'happiness'. The less subjective "human flourishing" is often preferred as a translation.

Thanks eudamonia,

This seems very important so I'm going to post it here to keep track of it.

1% risk based on high water mark

Start with a position size of 10 pips = 1%

SL = 9p if touched or 8 pips trade through.

When I am up 5 or more pips then I reduce my position
and expand my SL which is now my break even point.

My analysis is now over and I simply hold for better or for BE until my goal is reached.

Based on observation, price moves a hundred to hundreds of pips one way or the other on any given day.
So long as you manage your risk and keep positioning your self for the moves there is no reason why you shouldn't catch them save that you were fearful and did not endure until the goal was met.

I only reduce my position size once to shed risk and to increase the probability of reaching a longer term goal (the short term goal being not losing money).
I do not add the fractions back in at any point.

There are many ways to manage your money; I manage mine to achieve very high returns.

You do not need your full position to make a huge return:

Large moves bring large gains where as excessive amounts of risk only bring more risk.

Ok, today went pretty well.
+27.5

Very tight trading but really wish I could let more of these run/hold for more pips. That's next on the docket.

This is OK, but It ain't gonna cut it.
I WANT PIPS, AND LOTS OF EM'.

This is just to prove to myself that I can follow rules and control my emotions.

The only TRUE test is time.

I stunk it up today. :smt021
This is why I need to stick to this type of trading for a lengthy amount of time.
I can't follow rules YET!!!

+19 crappy pips.
+4.8% account increase.

I had 3 trades by the book, was up 11.9 pips. THEN I took one that was not exactly by the rules and lost 16.3 pips on a stopout.
Well, you know what that started, a trading binge of 9 "radical" setups until I got back to where I was plus some.
WEAK.
THAT CRAP IS GONNA BITE ME IN THE @SS.

You did great anyway!

What exactly was "not by the book"? Could you describe it?

And: Would an "indicator" help you which signals when price is 5 or 10 pips away from the first psych line of the hour and approaching? Something like an acoustic parking assistant.
