This feels so 'r/wallstreetbets' :lol:

"We made a lot of money, so we have the edge", said every systems gambler ever. . .

"I found this new system where you double your bets after every loss; it's risky, but, guys, if you just leave the casino after making 5 units then it is unlikely that you will ever lose your bank"

If losers couldn't win then the casinos would be empty.

I know that it is an unpopular opinion around here, but the chance of anyone becoming a successful day trader is fk + all;
that doesn't mean that you stop trying altogether, it's just not where you place the majority of your focus.

You can be a successful day trader because there are various styles. The issue becomes when you start going down timeframes and the costs start stacking against you.

Higher timeframe and less risk make it easier and more likely you will make money in the long run.

I know that you can, I know that one can, but how likely is that outcome for the average Dick and Jane?

The bar is much higher for a day trader, that's all I'm saying. . .
especially if they are trading a small account.

When giving trading advice, I always ask myself what I would expect out of a 12 year old with ADD :}

They want to make money now, not after 5+ years of "practice", what should they do?

But,but,but, every new trader wants to be rich tomorrow. Doesn't it make sense to trade every move on the 5 second chart?

I really believe that H1 is a cost effective and easier option to make money.

H1 NQ micro
1 micro = $200 risk
Gain = $600
On 2 different trades.
Cost is about 1% of the total risk.
On a small TF costs can be 20%... eew
