I honestly couldn't care less

I am more thinking about the 4-5 years worth of things that I have to accomplish.

Sounds like you are saving up to buy an Island in Caribbean :)

I'm currently just buying physical gold and platinum (I don't see myself investing in crypto going forward).

But what I was referring to are the things related to programming and mathematics.

I'm just going to hibernate, focus on myself, and wait for the world to figure out where we go from here.

The music has stopped and nobody is claiming chairs  they will though, soon enough, they will.

Hi Igazi, how is the Haskell coming along?

I did a little bit of Effective Haskell reading while on holiday but didn’t get further than the discussion on “fixity”.. I liked how multiple argument functions were treated like a series of single argument functions… gets into the core of thinking functionally (a weak skill for me).

Edit: I just found this Haskell library for Oanda (CFD broker I use), so it’s useful to see how the types are set up for timeframes, candles, etc.. https://github.com/jdreaver/oanda-rest- ... trument.hs

I'm just a little further than that :) it will probably take me 40 days to finish the book.

I'll be happy if I complete it by December [-o<

Thanks for the link.

I had the wildest of dreams last night.

I needed to buy some gasoline, but the prices suddenly skyrocketed to a number which might as well have been infinity; I overheard the shop owners say that it would be more useful to keep it for themselves.

I had coins in my pocket, but people were paying with Dinar and wrapped dried pieces of meat, and then some green liquid started leaking out from one of my coins as if it had spoiled

It made me want to go shopping as soon as I got out of bed

Wow that’s a very coherent dream.. I’m embarrassed to say I had to doublecheck that Dinar was the fiat currency I dimly recall and not some kind of crypto coin. Given you’re a metals trader, I think you mean the gold coin variety instead?

I guess the infinity price reflected the utility of gas and not the supply cost (making the assumption you’re in the US; and where domestic supplies are sufficient for demand).

In my part of Australia, gas (petrol) prices are very volatile, often moving 20-30c per litre each week, so I’ve often wondered what would be involved in running small bore engines on ethanol (home distilled). I would think anything with electronic fuel injection (eg cars) would be harder and I guess diesel engines would be out of the story… given we have thousands on hours of sunshine per year maybe it would be a win for home charging EVs!

I should keep a dream journal, because things are only crystal clear for 2 minutes after waking up. . .
the dream could very well have chosen the Dinar as a way to communicate the location of the dream.

I don't think that I am ever fully asleep:
I can stop and have conversations, reason, & make choices. . .
I even have a "dream memory"; where I refer to previous dreams, as if it were my past, while dreaming.

PS: gas prices usually stay in a tight range between $3.75 and $3.85/gallon.
Price will occasionally rise close to $5 and then fall back below $4.

A dream journal is fun, I did it for a while. Sometimes I have a dream and 5 year later a situation occurs and I remember the dream and it clicks.

Dinars.....there are quite some countries that have dinars. Most of them you dont want to go and most have oil.
