As a swing trader, going off of an M1 chart, I would call 16% of the chart (8 pips) 'one unit of risk':
"Terrible", you say, "how am I supposed to make any money!?"
At max size (6 units) you make money, at min size you don't expect to make money. . .
and that's actually a good thing, because you don't want to lose money either;
you might destroy your profit, but you're never going to blow your account.
'Speed' is not smaller charts and doing more, speed is the multiplication of position size.
If you trade for big pip totals, it takes big pip totals to undo your trades.
A swing trader doesn't have to 'perform', the swing trader just needs to be patient;
large charts will make large strides, because that is what large charts do.
A scalper can have a 90% win rate and still lose money
that's what you don't understand;everything is gravy, until it's not.
