This trade required a huge stop and a willingness to use held profits, I decided against it and let it stop me out small loss.
Done for now.

Backtesting session on discord coming up in an hr.

The size of the move doesn't matter, only the rate at which profit is being made or lost:

If you trade 6 units max, and you enter for 1, then you are trading at a size of 1/6.

If the market swings 30 pips then, in your mind, you should be thinking "I'm up/dn 5 pips (per unit)";
how much money you've made or lost is the only thing that matters.

Remember, you can't test results, you can only consistently apply ideas:

you CAN DO anything, what do YOU DO?

No matter who you are, you're trading up or dn and out of things

You're looking for a move that breaks the piggy (=) and then you're moving in to grab the cash.

Should you hold a trade for big pips?

Notice the difference between the potential of 1, 2, 3, and the current H4 candle;
while anything is possible, I wouldn't expect a multi day drop to start from this candle.

Should you hold a trade for big pips?

Watching backtest session atm will read post in a bit.

YES.

Dave said he paid over $1k commissions on 16 trades/2 losses (110 points) yesterday.
I told him two 55 point trades he would have ONLY paid $100 and could have added a couple times for $200 commissions.

Also profit would have been $40-50k with the adds instead of $21k net. LESS WORK.

Adding to losses stil.

While trading the next few days you should place trades with the intent of getting your stops hit, not to profit. Over and over. If you want to buy, hit sell. Your goal is to hit thst SL. Over and over.

Take real trades but hit the opposite order.

16 trades @ 10 lots each @ $4 round trip = $640 commissions.
