Just noticed this he posted couple hrs ago.

As you probably know, I research a lot of trading things. 8)

So while learning about apex/tradovate I found a nice detail. The trailing stop on the #25k FULL account actually stops following your balance when you get to $26,600.

Basically this means if you are willing to keep your own profit cushion in the account for drawdown then you can trade higher contracts.

I think instead of getting bigger accounts I may just leave $3000 in them as a cushion and trade 1 mini contact.

Its worth testing out. Maybe Ill still get the $300k accounts worked in there.

Might get up to trading 4 mini x 20 accounts on the ES.

Time and testing will tell.

I was thinking that if you average 60 ES points a month that is about $250k a month gross.
About 15 points a week average.

3 points right there in one trade.
3 per day for 20 trading days is 60 a month.

3 per day for 20 trading days is 60 a month.

So is that about 3/4 5m candles, 20 minutes a day and then you are done for the day?
If it went against you, what would you lose, a couple of days worth?

About 2 points for a stop

More like 9 candles so 45 minutes

Well I'm 3 days in and I've managed to average the $150 a day.
$150 a day x 20 accounts is $3000 which is about $800k a year.

I plan on getting my size up to 1 mini contact.
That stage should get my average up to $375 a day.
$375 x 20 = $7500 or about $2 million a year.

Ultimate goal is to trade 4 ES contracts per account with an average daily of $600+ about $3 million a year.

We'll see how the data turns out. Trading real futures is different than trading CFD versions so there is a little relearning curve.

Futures has FIFO and order averaging. CFD does not.

For a hick farm boy trading simple forex like myself, what is order averaging vs the technique of partial entries to get an average price which I currently do?

When you trade forex/cfd you place individual orders and you can close each order independently. When you place several orders in futures it averages your entry price and you must close all the orders or the order you put on first.

With NInja on futures when in buys I can just sell out of partials and it will keep moving the "average" order down away from the previous avg entry price.
As long as my entries were higher up in the curve.
Yes, you are not making much on them per say but you are limiting exposure while taking some profits.
Then can let the best positions run by trailing for maximum profits or add back in at better prices when available as it goes to your target.
Been working great. LOL

OH, btw, Dave said it is NOT going to take you 45min to get to your daily goal. Much shorter. hahahahaha

Hard for me to picture without using that platform. Maybe I should look at what the cool kids are playing with.
What's a broker for demo I can have a play with?
