4 pips box chart. This one is just too big to use for trading. 1 mishap would simply cost too much.

I think 1 pip is somewhat acceptable considering the current market condition.

Reversal P&F in the same column is good but I think TV uses the current way to plot P&F chart (or it has been like this? correct me if I'm wrong).

It's indeed worthy of the title. Imagine how many times you can scalp the ES during its very active hours.

Is this real? Like 0 spread for Bitcoin? I opened this chart yesterday when the market was still open and it's 0 spread. Can anyone confirm this?

I would have responded earlier, but Kreslik is using that 3rd world internet

I'm not sure what you mean by 0.5 pip boxes (renko) being 'too fast':
it can't be "faster" than the underlying chart, 1 minute closes,. . .that's what I'm not understanding.

If I were going to code a chart I'd simply make a line chart, in bar form, with an option of ignoring closings prices that are within so many pips of the previous closing price; that would save an enourmous amount of space.

Time-based chart, like say M1, is like table tennis. It's fast but you know the rhythm so you know what to expect. Sometimes I enter just seconds before the candle is finished because I know precisely when it will close. But with renko, it's like badminton where it's sometimes slow but it could suddenly go blitzing fast that there's really no time to react. With 0.5 pip boxes, I will be really glued to the monitor like a slave. At least I have more control with bigger boxes like 1 pip.

There is no closing dot, or marking of any kind. . .maybe that is the problem.

It should just "draw a line", with boxes, from one close to the next, and omit any closes that are not one box higher or two boxes lower;
it is more or less a line chart without the dots.

A Kagi might be a better choice as there are no predefined price levels.

Done for the day chart.
If these are your entries, where would your targets be? I got more than 100 pips ++ clean from these entries.

Dojirock keep mentioning the Asian session and I realized that I've become lazy these days. It used to be that I traded AUD/USD during the Asian session but using a bigger tf and now that I want to be active again I need to research my option whether they are still the right one to pick. I'm not trading multiple pairs at the same time because I go in and out within the session with the mini daily anchor and daily anchor these days so I need to pick the hot item for the month or quarter to maximize the profit. When you get it right, you will be basically done for the day during the first hour or two... until the European session enters lolz

These types of anchor trades are pretty simple to notice and execute and there's really no guess work involved. All you need to do is to check the bias, find the momentum and hold (or manage the trades). I'm also updating my price behavior stats to get the most juice out of the pairs I'm trading (currently the U/J, A/U and E/U).

You have probably seen this tool but its quite cool for seeing the volatility for certain hours on what and when to trade something.

Red arrow is daily open hour for me in that view.

I have played with AJ in the Asian session before and prefer it to some of the other currencies.

Yes, that is good if you want to know the hourly volatility or daily etc but I'm not looking for those. I seek and collect my own data because I have specific needs.

Done for the day EU session.

Crazy first couple hours. Good thing I came out with some green. One trade wipes out all the losses. BEs, losses and then profit.

So again, where would you exit if these are all your entries. Better yet, where would you enter if that is your chart (using that exact line chart)?

Blue horis are buy,
Red horis are sell.

I see a main 'Z' level, holding most of the dots, and a widened range caused by low breakout attempts and rejections.

anywhere around "HERE" is a good entry, IMO. . .
of course, when the dot left the upper 'Z' level that was also a good entry.

I would try and have the hourly colour behind me. That last trade I would probably have taken my profit off the table missing the push up.

Nice trades!
I can see the anchor trade but why the short around 4am? We're you anticipating a break down? Or just to be sure?
