Hmm.. Good question.. I believe I am.
This week currently at 2.2% - 6 trades.. 0 losses

Last 20 trades.. 2 losses

You gave me a piece of advice, a good few weeks back. I was risking too much. I've dialled it down considerably. That's helping.

Those numbers look good. Continue doing what you are doing. As long as those losses were reasonable then keep executing and collecting trade data.

The gain in those 20 trades was 20.2% with a loss of 1.7%.
I don't think that's too bad.

Thank you for taking the Tharp Trader Test!
Self-knowledge is the first step to improvement.

You are a
Strategic
Trader

You are quick to see market patterns, which allows you to take advantage of them. You are an avid thinker; therefore, understanding trading will come easier to you than to your peers. Your great drive to achieve your goals will help you be a great trader, if that is important to you.

One of Your Trading Strengths - You are quick to see patterns with the ability to rapidly hypothesize and generate low-risk trading ideas.

One of Your Trading Challenges - You have a strong desire to be right so you might want to work on perfecting systems rather than trading them.

Example Trader
Paul Tudor Jones Our best example of a strategic trader is Paul Tudor Jones. Jones has been one of the world’s best hedge fund managers.

I took the test..
Apparently I am a facilitative trader.

Facilitative Forex Trader Qualities

Facilitative Forex traders have the ability to see the potential in people around them and to provide the inspiration to help others in fulfilling their maximum potential. This is an important leadership characteristic which facilitative traders have, and therefore these traders often become leaders when found in a group setting with other traders.

The Facilitative Trader has two of the three most important characteristics for becoming a great trader according to Van K. Tharp. These are:

The capacity to comprehend the big picture, as well as make important connections between different points in the big picture.
Their ability to be well organized and strong-minded.

Facilitative Forex Traders are also very well organized normally, which is a great habit for any trader to adopt.

Also, working in a group is something that the facilitative trader will find more satisfying than working alone. This is another big advantage for them which is why they should strive to work in teams rather than alone.

Trading Challenges

The Facilitative Forex Trader’s superb ability in working with others may also be both an advantage and a disadvantage because trading is often a solitary activity though working in a group definitely has its advantages – especially for people who are better suited for that kind of environment like the facilitative trader.

Furthermore, Facilitative Forex Traders very often will need to double check their trading strategies and ideas – most probably it will be with their peer-traders or people in their group.

This double-checking helps them to be more relaxed and more confident in pulling the trigger on a trade when the time comes. However, this is another trait of their highly social nature that they will probably need to work on in order to improve and become less dependent on others.

I vagauely remember taking that test a long time ago and I think it said I should not trade and be an investor instead........
Oh well, I have started down the path now.......

The development is worrying. I hope they can find a way to avoid it happening again.
