I am wondering why I need to compete and make things more complicated.

If I still scalp/swing US30 with an expectation of 1000 points a month life would be easier. Let me assume that I am doing this with a rich uncle. Ill really want about 1200 points to net my 1000. A little more than 1000 and a lot less than 2000.

Now how much do I want to make each month?
Risk $5 a point and make $5000 a month
Risk $10 a point and make $10,000 a month
Etc.
This can also be done on the futures YM up to about $50 a point last I checked. Fills might get a little worse. Although $50,000 a month isnt bad.

Why not go with ES fut? People are scalping the hell out of it.

Tick tok, $1,000. Six tok, $6,000.

I did a little test and rich uncle allows for 10x the margin on US500. It is interesting 100 to 200 points a month.

I think that even if you had a chart and didn't knew what the asset was you would still be able to trade it.

A lot of assets we look at do a lot of the same things. Each one also has some individual characteristics.

Sometimes I would trade the EURUSD for a few hours then someone would ask me what price EURUSD was at. I couldn't tell them because I didnt really look at the price. I used my ruler and looked for pips.

I said I trade forex.

People: "What's forex?"
Me: It's foreign currencies.
People: "So, how much is the U.S. dollar now against our currency?"
Me: I don't know.
People: "But you said you do foreign currencies?"
Me: Yes, but I'm a chartist not an analyst.
People: "What the heck is a chartist?"
Me: "It's complicated (to kill the conversation lolz)"
People: Oh, ok (walk away)


I don't look at THE price. I observe its behavior and quickly react to it.

Scalped US30 today
I made about 60 points.
I decided on my hypothetical goal of about 1200 points per month. I probably wont get that in December because of the holidays.

On an FTMO $100k swing account you can trade about $40 per point and 25 points = 1%. Thats close to max with 1:30 leverage.

An $250k account will get you to $1 million a year.

If you are more comfortable with this....
An $25k account will get you to $100,000 a year.

If I must make a million in the futures market Ill probably trade 10 contracts of the ES for about 170 points a month with no rich uncle split.

How else could I make $1 million.

How about 1000 shares of Tesla at 100 dollars a month. I like trading tesla.

Then there is the wild west of option trading.. so much fun!
