Well I'll be damned. . .
RSI bar-flips work on minute charts.

Green or red is confluence, yellow or black is difluence, black is S&R. . .

Did a little 1000 share Tesla trade.
Captured $520, not bad for watching the chart for 15 minutes.
Plenty of that Tesla money to live on if/when the time comes.
Of course I'll need to trade 2k to 3k shares for more than one trade and average over $3 a day.

Sick drop, my dude! :lol:

Check out these positive RSI flips:
PS: you can think of them as 'pattern breakouts'

I redesigned the PowerX indicator according to my own personal tastes. . .
it is many more lines of code :lol:

I did copy+paste where I could (because why not yoink code if you can!) and then wrote the logic for the RSI bar-flips.

I did upload it to TV, you can search 'PowerX' and it will show up as PowerXYZ.

Code: Select all

//@version=4
study("PowerXYZ Strategy", "PowerZ", overlay=true)
//-----Typical Price-----//
typicalPrice = (high + low + close) / 3
//-----MACD-----//
[macdLine, signalLine, histLine] = macd(close, 12, 26, 9)
//-----Smoothed Moving Average-----//
src = input(close, "Source", input.source)
len1 = input(4, "SMMA 1", input.integer)
getSMMA(len) =>
    smma = 0.0
    smma := na(smma[1]) ? sma(src, len) : (smma[1] * (len - 1) + src) / len
    smma

smma = getSMMA(len1)
//-----RSI-----//
rsiLine = rsi(close, 7)
//-----Percent D (smooth)-----//
stochLine = sma(sma(stoch(close, high, low, 13),3),3)
//-----Percent K (jagged)-----//
//stochLine = sma(stoch(close, high, low, 14),3)
//-----PowerX------//
signal = rsiLine > 49 and stochLine > 49 and histLine > 0? "buy" : rsiLine <= 49 and stochLine <= 49 and histLine <= 0 ? "sell" : "none"
//-----PowerY-----//
signal := signal == "buy" and smma > typicalPrice or signal == "sell" and smma < typicalPrice ? "none" : signal
//-----PowerZ-----//
//-----RSI BAR-FLIP DN-----
signal := signal[3] == "buy" and signal[2] == "none" and signal[1] == "none" and rsiLine[1] > 49 and rsiLine <=49 ? "burnt" : signal
signal := signal[2] == "buy" and signal[1] == "none" and rsiLine[1] > 49 and rsiLine <=49 ? "burnt" : signal
signal := signal[1] == "buy" and signal == "none" and rsiLine[1] > 49 and rsiLine <=49 ? "burnt" : signal
//-----RSI BAR-FLIP UP-----
signal := signal[3] == "sell" and signal[2] == "none" and signal[1] == "none" and rsiLine[1] <= 49 and rsiLine > 49 ? "burnt" : signal
signal := signal[2] == "sell" and signal[1] == "none" and rsiLine[1] <= 49 and rsiLine > 49 ? "burnt" : signal
signal := signal[1] == "sell" and signal == "none" and rsiLine[1] <= 49 and rsiLine > 49 ? "burnt" : signal
//-----Color & Plot-----//
palette = signal == "buy" ? color.lime : signal == "sell" ? color.red : signal == "burnt" ? color.black : signal == "test" ? color.fuchsia : color.rgb(220, 228, 114)
plotbar(open, high, low, close, color=palette)
plot(smma, linewidth=1,  color=color.rgb(134, 174, 221,75))

This week was a busy week with all kind of stuff.
Managed to do some trading.
Yesterday I got absolutely chopped up and got very frustrated.
Needless to say it was all me to blame.

Today I started a new test evaluation with e8.
Started bad with 5 losing trades in a row. Not a lot in % (about -1%) but still it plays with your mind.

After that a bit wobbly but I managed to trade it up. Forgot all about the news and took a full loss on an experiment.
Because of some more freestyling my win rate is crap but the result is there.

Now I know from my previous experience the account will lock up I will try to trade my wins down for a change.
So...objective is to lose so I can try again without locking my account up. :D

Nice work!
I don't know anything about code or so but is it correct that you removed the MACD because it's too slow and added a rule above/below the smma together with the RSI and the stoch?
