$5000 is 25% of $20000 so the math is easy. You'll need to do the same thing when you trade $100000 accounts so I only see using a higher evaluation as a waste of money.

You can get almost 3 tries at $5000 for the cost of $20000.

Yes, I know you are right but still I feel the 20k is more suitable for me.
This is mainly because I spent so much time in learning to trade that I also would like to see something in return now.
With a 5k account it will be a bit hard to get something that is also a bit satisfying and it will take at least 4 months (until payout + a new trial) before I can upscale.
On the other hand, if I fail...yes...it's waste of money.
I'll take a shower first

You are looking to get paid. I am still considering it a training exercise. Your thought process could be a psychological burden on you if you need to get money now.

Yes, true. It's not about getting paid now, it's more about getting a bit more back sooner.
Let's see how it goes. I have ordered it and will do my utmost best. If I fail you can say I told you so and I will feel very stupid

How to make $1,000,000 a year

Get MFF maxed out at $300,000
Trade enough to get the split up to 85%
Trade enough to get growth of 25%
Trade well enough to get 1.33% a day.

$300,000 x 1.25 x .85 x 3.2 = $1 million
FTMO would be: .93% a day
$400,000 x 1.25 x .9 x 2.22 = $1 million
The Prop Trading would be: .83%
$500,000 x 1.25 x .8 x 2 = $1 million
5%ers would be: 2.33% a month
$4,000,000 x 1 x .9 = $1,000,000

Made 60 points on US30 since the US markets opened in 10 minutes. Maybe I should be one of those guys that trades the open and thats all.

Probably not since I actually like trading.

Lets say that the US30 is $4 per point on a $20,000 account. I made 1.2%. 8)

Edit: After I wrote this +14 more.

Nice!
Only trading during US open would be a punishment for you as you, ha, ha.

I couldn't really trade today :( as I was driving my wife around because the public transport is on strike and she hasn't got a driving license. This was really testing my patience as I wanted to trade my new account.
Did a couple of test trades with reduced risk parameters as you suggested and then took a little over 1%.
As I am also the cook today I guess that was my trading day.

1% is good enough for day 1 as time is on my side

Traded US30 in Frankfurt. 52 points. Based on the quoted post thats 1%.

1% a day can earn a fortune, as you can see if you reference my $1,000,000 / year post.

Find a good balance between earning 1% a day and low risk then the sky is the limit.

Edit: +20 points
Edit: +14 points

95 points total I am good today.
Edit: +12 and +7 at US open. Price moves quick and snapped back as I closed.
114 points total my addiction has calmed for today.
