US30 M5 had had a lot of opportunities IMO in the US afternoon session.

US30 M5 US afternoon 8/25
There was plenty of movement. Use M5 as a bias and enter on M1 chart.
Or there was 1 really nice setup in the middle of that session 5% (hard to say for sure could be more or less)

Thats about 20 points or 1.5%

That's a nice trade/entry! wow

Basic zline trade. Entered at the bottom arrow and exited at the top arrow.
Later there was a secondary entry that went to the moon.
Us30 has opportunities you have to be careful of the crazy moves it makes.
I didn't have a SL on once and price moved so fast and far I lost a prop account because of the 5% daily loss rule.
Good thing you can take the evaluations again.

If you had the timing right and traded the US afternoon session, there was opportunity to make 100% on a 1:100 lev account.

Yes, I prefer to use US30 if I have a prop account. It makes more sense. It practically move hundreds of pips a day and many times in just a session.

Yes, there were some very nice moves in the US session for the US30. I would find it easier to trade the moves of the 25th if I compare it with the 26th (wasn't there yesterday). If price craters below the ADR and keeps going I find it harder to find a safer entry.

Taking these Z-line trades in real time is a different game. I think I tried 2 or so last week. None of them as spectacular as this one, ha, ha

I have a simulator (ea) for MT4 (it's free from fxblue) where I can simulate trading with my own brokers data.
For the last 2 weeks I have been practicing trading indices (US30 and nas) and specifically the US afternoon time.
It looks promising but most important it helps me a bit trying new things by speeding up the process because I am able to trade a couple of sessions in one lazy Saturday afternoon.

You also get some stats that can help a bit.
From these stats I know that from that day I had to investigate why I held one of my losing trades so long.
Also that I my win % is ok-ish but it would be better if I could add a bit

If you see my posts from 2009ish I did the same thing. Its good practice but not a 100% replacement for live markets.

Holding on to losses is a big hurdle.

It's usually a bad idea to hold onto losses unless you're using a Keltner Channel strategy where you close the individual entries as they move into profit;
it is definitely not a beginner strategy though. . .

Ive traded like that very lucrative. It hurts bad when you hold to long.
